Stephen C. Angle
Associate Professor of Philosophy
Professor Angle received his B.A. from Yale in East Asian Studies and his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Michigan. At Wesleyan, he is Chair of the Philosophy Department and a participant in the East Asian Studies Program.

Research Interests
Professor Angle specializes in Chinese philosophy, particularly in the relations between modern (nineteenth- and twentieth- century) Chinese thought and the Confucian tradition. He also has research interests in contemporary Western moral psychology, meta-ethics, and philosophy of language.
