Rationale for Panel: This panel explores the implications of approaching classic texts from the Confucian and Buddhist traditions through a variety of comparative methodologies. Each panelist will demonstrate the rich philosophical rewards that come from viewing one or more texts central to the tradition they study in such perspective.
